Foods of the Vine Review

Ladies and gentleman, I'd like to introduce you to...the tomato.

So, two foods I thoroughly love - pasta and tomato sauce. I think I could have a diet of pasta and tomato sauce-based foods and never get sick of either one. Recently, I had the chance to try out a few items from a company called Foods of the Vine and I can't wait to tell you about them.

Here's a few things that make this company special:

  • All of their products are USDA Certified Organic, Non-GMO Verified, low-sodium, and gluten-free.
  • The Vine is located and manufactured in New York. Their ingredients are sourced in the USA.
  • It is a Certified Women’s Business Enterprise (WBE) member.
All of these qualities make a company stand out and makes me want to work with them and buy and support their products. Most of all though what did I think of what I had to try?

The Pasta Sauce

I reviewed two different pasta sauces: Butternut Squash and Vegan Marinara. The words "vegan" in one jar and "butternut squash" gave me pause a little bit when I looked at the jar. I'm not necessarily vegan and I can't say I'm a huge fan of squash, but hey like I said, it's pasta sauce so I'm certain to enjoy it. Wow, let me tell you. This stuff was amazing. The tomato sauce was rich and flavorful. It wasn't watery at all. The butternut squash didn't taste like squash at all, which completely surprised me. 

Right now you can buy their products online for $8.99 a jar. This may sound like a lot but I promise you won't be disappointed. This pasta sauce is 100% the cost. Purchase now.

The Salsa and the Ketchup.

I really liked the salsa I got to try. It was the mango habanero salsa. Definitely a unique taste experience! Flavorful with a little extra something. I thought it went great with lime chips, actually. 

The ketchup wasn't exactly my favorite. I thought it was a tad more liquidy than the ketchup I am used to, but that still didn't stop me from enjoying it. I enjoyed it as a dipping sauce for chicken.

The Verdict

Overall, I recommend The Vine for your pasta night dinner. They have quality pasta sauce and they really exceeded my expectations. Be sure to purchase some online. You can also follow them on Instagram or Facebook.

My Review of Nutty Novelties Nut Butters

  Does anyone else love nut butter as much as I do? It's such a healthy protein and great for breakfast or lunch, depending on how you like to enjoy yours.  Recently, I had the chance to try some by a brand called Nutty Novelties. I ended up choosing their simple blends, like Classic Peanut Butter, Pistachio Butter, Almond Butter, and Cashew Butter. I loved each jar and thought it was just simply delicious. However, they offer a ton of unique varieties that you don't want to miss out on. They have Honey Roasted Peanut Butter , Cinnamon Almond Butter , and  Dark Chocolate Almond Butter .
